The Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) is excited to host another timely and interactive program for WERC’s constellation and growing community! Our speaker, Lauren Grey, the author of “1001 Watts,” shares stories and practices from her hope-filled book to reveal how individually we represent 1 watt and by helping and lifting others we fan our internal flame and ignite the light in others. Together we shine brighter – 1001 Watts brighter!
Ms. Grey will share her Points of Light and Bright Thinking hands-on exercises to inspire a path of change by using her CORE foundation. Completing these self-discovery exercises fans your 1 watt. As your 1 watt glows brighter with hope and love for the unique gift you are, it creates a luminance to share with others by inspiring and lifting them along a path of change.
Please join us as a sponsor and help us bring this empowering and transformational event to our community and provide vital support to our programs and students. The Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) remains essential to the success of women in our community reentering the workforce. Our mission remained strong over the last few years and we increased the number of women served when unemployment soared. With the change in the economy, women in our community are still in need of our services and support. WERC is in a unique position to offer them solutions for becoming gainfully employed and making a positive impact on our community’s economy.
