On Friday, March 11, 2022 from noon – 1:30pm, The Women’s Fund of the Capital Region will host a virtual panel discussion with several prominent Trailblazers. The event will be livestreamed by Hudson Valley Community College’s Bulmer Telecommunications Center.
The illustrious and accomplished panel of speakers include:

Coach Carmen Duncan, Chief Coach and Founder of Mission Accomplished Transition Services, a career education organization that provides industry specific coaching and mentorship for un/underemployed rising young professionals and entrepreneurs with pursuing or enhancing their career in fashion, construction or event planning.

Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill, Producing Artistic Director at Capital Repertory Theatre, one of the region’s prominent entertainment venues and the only LORT theatre in the 14-county Capital Region with a rich local history of excellent entertainment and strong community relationships.

Alissa M. Quinn, Senior Vice President, UBS, The Quinn Wealth Management Group, one of the premier wealth management and investment firm in the region.
The Trailblazer panel will talk about their “Sheroes” – the heroines in their lives who have influenced and inspired them – and discuss how we can all find the inner heroine in ourselves.
The Emcee is Benita Zahn, MS, DPS, CHWC. The Honorary Committee Chair is Fran O'Rourke, Market President and Regional Executive at KeyBank.
Uplifting stories from The Women’s Fund scholarship winners will be shared during the event, as well as updates on our program activities, which will include information on the NEW part-time scholarship program.

Since 2006, The Women's Fund of the Capital Region has raised and awarded over $502,000 in grants, scholarships and emergency funds, providing resources and support to financially-insecure and nontraditional female students in the Greater Capital Region by awarding scholarships and emergency funds, and partnering with local organizations.
The Women’s Fund of the Capital Region is a program of the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC). Their programs and grants serve women and girls in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie counties.
